How the new ratio is worked out
For pass 1 and pass 2, OrcaSlicer multiplies the ratio you printed with by 100 plus the modifier, then divides by 100. Its example starts from 0.98 and picks the block marked +5, which gives 1.029.
The YOLO test adds the modifier to the ratio instead. From 0.98, the block marked +0.01 gives 0.99.
Pass 1 and pass 2
The first pass prints blocks over a wide range in percent, and the second pass prints ten blocks from -9 to 0 around the result of the first. Print the second pass with the ratio from the first, as OrcaSlicer’s example does, so that its modifiers start from the right value.
The YOLO test
YOLO prints eleven blocks in one go, from -0.05 to +0.05 in steps of 0.01, and it is the method that OrcaSlicer recommends. Its finer version steps by 0.005. Pick the smoothest top with no gaps between the arcs, and type its number as a decimal.
When to calibrate again
Run the test for each new filament you want to tune, and keep the result with that filament. The next test then starts from it, the way the second pass starts from the first.
